Wooroonooran National Park Experience

World Heritage-listed Wooroonooran National Park is located away from the beaten tourist tracks so you can revitalise yourself in tranquil rainforest settings. In addition to the educational first-hand rainforest experience, the tour also includes fun activities you may never have experienced before.

From this tropical rainforest opens a spectacular panorama onto the famous Bartel Frere – a mountain shrouded in the mystery of Aboriginal legends. It is the highest mountain in Queensland. You will get the rare opportunity to wander the unused paths through the tropical jungle, see the mountain lakes and waterfalls; you will also learn many fascinating facts about the Australian flora and fauna and see the enormous fig trees. Following the amble through the jungle you will be treated to a lunch and the opportunity to swim in the clear waters of the Josephine Waterfall. Although many animals are nocturnal, if you are lucky you may see platypuses, pythons and wild turkeys.
