Huka Lodge is located in Taupo, in the central North Island of New Zealand. The central plateau enjoys a gentle climate, a leisurely pace and a spectacular landscape – snow-capped volcanic mountain peaks, wild tussock, green and lush wilderness, and the clear blue waters of lakes and streams. So many features reminiscent of other landscapes and other lands are all contained within this one area.
The Lodge’s central location ensures guests are never far from areas of interest. A ten-minute drive takes you to the township of Taupo, or a one-hour drive to nearby geothermal Rotorua. A journey through New Zealand from either north or south will pass through Taupo, offering the opportunity to experience the superb hospitality of Huka Lodge.
Within 17 acres (6.9 hectares) of magnificent manicured grounds nestled along the banks of the Waikato River, accommodation is available within just 25 rooms offering an exclusive hospitality experience. These comprise 18 Lodge rooms, one suite and the two exclusive Huka Lodge Cottages. The Owner's Cottage provides secluded accommodation for a maximum of eight guests within four bedrooms, and the superb new Alan Pye Cottage has two bedrooms for four guests.
This luxuriously exceptional Lodge features the following facilities: Twenty five rooms (including one suite and two cottages), restaurant, indoor and outdoor private dining areas, heated swimming pool, croquet ground, tennis court, eight indoor private dining options, and a communal dining room.
